Thinking about fostering?

capstone

Foster Care Fortnight is upon us, this annual campaign is the perfect opportunity to raise the profile of fostering and show case how fostering can change lives.

Here at Capstone Foster Care, we are all about building brighter futures together, and for us, this year’s theme of ‘fostering communities’ really resonates. They say it takes a village to raise a child, well, we know first-hand that it takes a community to foster.

Having a brilliant support network in place is so crucial for fostering for the long term, which creates lasting stability for looked after children building the bridge to a brighter future. Children in care have so much potential, when surrounded by the right individuals.

This comes down to the fostering families, to the support from kind empathetic social workers who really listen, to our one-of-a-kind MATTS support which provides a specialist service to children who have been through trauma. And those are to name but a few. We believe in giving our carers the whole package to guarantee success.

To tie in with this year’s theme of community we asked our team to tell us all about the brighter day that they have had because of foster care. Whether that be children, foster carers or even staff members. Foster care fortnight is a great opportunity to celebrate the positive side to fostering.

Keep your eyes on our social media channels for loads of great content and get involved!
