South West Law Firm AmicusLaw win two prestigious awards, including the coveted Leader of the Year Award and the Rising Star Award. This recognition highlights the firm’s dedication to excellence and showcases their commitment to providing exceptional legal services. 

Thursday the 22nd of June marked the annual Devon and Somerset Law Society Awards, a highly anticipated event in the legal calendar attended by some of the best of the Southwest’s legal talent. 

The evening was a fantastic night, filled with great conversations, delicious food, and some brilliant award winners, as well as special guests including Shaun Wallace and Lubna Shuja, the president of the Law Society. 

AmicusLaw are a leading local South West law firm delivering a diverse range of legal services to their fast-growing client base across the South West. This year they were nominated for an impressive three awards including, Rising Star, Leader of the Year, and Support Team Member of the Year. 

The team at Amicus were surrounded by some outstanding legal talent and were delighted on the night to be crowned with not one, but two awards: Al-Amin Zaydey as the Rising Star and Claire Lovett Managing partner as the Leader of the Year. 

Claire Lovett Managing partner commented “I am incredibly humbled and honoured to be recognised as Leader of the Year. As a leadership team, we have worked incredibly hard to create a nurturing environment, whilst also maintaining a growth mindset. We have worked incredibly hard to get to where we are today and to be recognised for it, really is the icing on the cake.” 

“I also can’t tell you how proud I am of Al-Amin as the deserving recipient of the Rising Star Award. What he has achieved in a year is truly outstanding and we cannot wait to see what he does next.” 

Al-Amin started as a trainee at AmicusLaw just 12 months ago and has since not only become an integral and valued member of the team, but the second highest fee earner with his relentless dedication to achieving far beyond expectations.
