WHO ARE WE?
We are a group of friendly people who share a love of gardening, garden visits, and the enjoyment of flowers, vegetables and showing. Our monthly meetings are held on the last Friday of each month at the Catholic Hall, Townsend Road, Minehead at 7.30pm.
We welcome all, from novice to expert gardeners.

Our annual membership fee is currently £12.00. We do not charge members for each meeting. Non-members are welcome at our meetings for a charge of £2.00

What goes on at our Garden Group?
The shows.
We hold a Members Spring Flower Show in March of each year, which includes classes for all the spring flowers as well as cakes, savouries and a photograph.
The summer show is a much larger affair allowing anyone to enter. The classes are varied and range from fruit, vegetables, flowers, floral arrangements, handicrafts and the visual arts, such as painting and photography. There are also classes for wine, and, if you enjoy cooking there is a large Home Craft section. There is also a children's section. The show usually has around 600 entries and is well supported by the town.
Talks
Each month we have a speaker, not always on a garden related subject. Topics have included: plants that should be better known, cuttings and propagation, the fascination of foliage, Gertrude Jekyll and the Winter Garden.
