Readers Halt bookshop raises money for the upkeep of Minehead Station. We stock all types of books and they are categorised to make finding them easy. We also stock Railwayana, DVD's C.D's and other interesting articles that get donated. We are always pleased to accept donations of any books but please note we do not accept railway magazines which are more than 2 years old, Videos, Cassette Tapes or Vinyl Records. We are run entirely by volunteers and sell only donated items which means all of the money raised goes to the upkeep of Minehead Station. We are open every day until the end of October. Our opening hours are Sat, Sun, Tues, Wed, Thurs 10 - 4 and Mon and Fri when trains are not running we are open 10 - 2. Donations can be accepted during these times or an appointment can be arranged out of those hours. New volunteers are always welcome. Please phone 01643 704996.
Please note:
Our winter opening hours until Christmas will be Sat, Tues and Weds 10-2. We will be pleased to receive donations during these hours. After Christmas we will be closed until February half-term. Donations can be made outside of our opening hours by prior arrangement by messaging Anne Holland.
